Xi'an Daming Mixed-Use

United States

MulvannyG2 Architecture

Project Description

Xi’an, China – Xi’an, one of the oldest cities in China, is reemerging as an important cultural, industrial, and educational center. To support the city’s new image MulvannyG2 designers created the Xi’an Mixed-Use project to stand as a gateway and future landmark for the city. Based on the idea of a garden metropolis, the project unifies five individual city blocks of shopping, entertainment, dining, and gathering into one cohesive district. The curved geometry of the garden spaces forms one large free flowing movement that integrates office, twin hotel towers, and four service apartments with miles of shopping concourses. The movement and connections generate excitement and energy throughout the entire development, creating a destination for locals and tourists alike.
