Project DescriptionDesign of a school building for hearing and speech impaired children. The building has an outpatient department (OPD), classrooms and vocational training areas. Client procured the l after a lot of efforts, hence the need was to maximize the construction while maintaining an institutional character of the building.
Spaces are designed to respond to the psychology of such children. Special need based solutions are provided for visual relation to the surroundings and to instil the feeling of security. A major challenge that was overcome through design is the extreme linearity of the plot with a narrow road frontage.
