Owens & Minor, a Fortune 500 company, is the nation’s leading distributor of brand-name medical and surgical supplies. Baskervill collaborated with them to design a new 160,000-square-foot headquarters complete with corporate offices, a training facility and ample amenities for more than 500 employees. Completed in 20 months, the project cost $24 million. The final design includes large windows that allow natural light into the environment to create a welcoming facility for employees, clients and guests. The training facility is a natural light-filled, spacious area designed to allow for a multitude of training options. A stylish food service area gives employees a high-end, restaurant-style space in addition to a coffee shop and brick-oven pizzeria. A state-of-the-art fitness center completes the building’s successful integration of world-class corporate design and modern sophistication.
