Vela, a contemporary chandelier from WAC Lighting, holds 24 organic LEDs in its laser-cut brushed aluminum frame, projecting ambient light upward and illuminating the area underneath. Aircraft suspension cables let homeowners adjust its thin profile up to 36 inches. The light uses 65.6 watts, can be dimmed, and mounts directly to the junction box. Otium, a new wall covering from Trove, is crafted from a collection of images that give life to broken or soon-to-be obsolete objects. From mangled umbrellas to animal skeletons to drained swimming pools, the images break away from the design firm’s focus on nature. The pattern is repeated on a 12-foot-tall, 6-foot-wide scale and is available on all of the company’s surfacing materials including a matte foil wallpaper, FSC-certified printed wood veneer, and a paper made from ground stone and natural resin. Resist the urge to grab your scraper: Timeline Wood’s worn look is factory-made and its added colors (black, white, blue, orange, and red) are built into the design to highlight its rough spots. Unlike traditional reclaimed wood, however, builders don’t have to worry about nails or warping and can ensure a consistent on-site finish in large projects. The wood is FSC-certified, uses low-VOC coatings, and can help earn LEED points. Available in 11 hues, the wood features three edge options, two lengths, and five widths. Haiku is Big Ass Fans’ attempt to scale down its ventilation know-how for residential applications. The fan’s core is streamlined thanks to a cool-running motor and integrated driver with sensor-free electronic controls. Three aerodynamic airfoils are spun by a direct-current and permanent-magnetics operation that the company says is 80 percent more efficient than standard fans, using a max of 30 watts. The fan is available in moso bamboo or a glass-infused matrix composite, and its 10 settings can be controlled by remote. Big Ass Fans. 855.694.2458. www.haikufan.com.
