2013 Residential Architect Design Awards Judging

Robert M. Cain, Brian Messana, Todd Hansen and E.B. Min, the 2013 Residential Architect Design Awards jury, discuss their selection of Bud Clark Commons by Holst Architecture as the 2013 Project of the Year. Calling Bud Clark Commons “architecture at its finest,” they noted that the beautifully designed building includes affordable studio apartments, a day center, and a shelter providing temporary housing for up to 90 men. The Portland, Ore., project’s social aspects as well as its design made it the clear choice for the 2013 RADA Project of the Year.
