German lighting maker Studio Dreimann fashioned its AKI pendant to emulate the sun shining through the branches of a leafless tree. The piece originally was designed for use above a large conference table, but it’s pressed multilayer wood frame holds a 3D form that helps it crossover into residential dining rooms and home office workspaces. Six 3000K LEDs are set into the wood frame and are powered through two transparent electrical wires that also support and balance the piece. It is available in a natural varnish or in lacquered white or gray. Studio Dreimann. www.studiodreimann.com. 49.511.642.142.50
