Most of mid-century Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala’s approximately 100 serially produced lamps were devised from 1959 to 1961. Yet his earliest design, the Triennale, goes back to 1951 and was intended for display in the Finnish Pavilion at the Milan Triennale.
