InformeDesign, an online database of design and human behavior research and certified American Institute of Architects (AIA) education provider, has added new course formats and courses to its online continuing and professional education curriculum for design practitioners. Created by the University of Minnesota College of Design, InformeDesign offers more than 2,000 easy-to-read summaries of the latest design-related research findings culled from more than 200 scholarly journals to help practitioners apply research-based information in the design process.

The new "Inquiry" and "Webcasts" course formats allow designers and architects to accumulate continuing education credits by reading research briefs of the key findings from InformeDesign's extensive library of health, safety, and human welfare-related research summaries and by viewing one-hour webcast sessions presented by noted researchers or designers on their topics of expertise. So far, six Webcast sessions and three Inquiry summaries are available and have been approved by the AIA for continuing education credits. Visit for course details.
