A new development by  brings four hexagonal residential towers and a six-level office block to the Bankside region of London, beside the Tate Modern museum. These glass-and-steel towers range in height from 12 to 24 stories, and comprise 217 residential units. External bracing eliminates the need for internal structure, allowing for flexible, open plan apartments. North- and south-facing “winter gardens”—enclosed terraces with sliding partitions—are suspended from the main structure on lightweight steel decking. At ground level, landscape design by Gillespies features north-south axial public walkways, separated by berms from a network of private paths leading to private gardens around the towers.
