The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) has changed the dates for its 2012 trade show and conference being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center. The new dates, April 24 to 26 with the conference beginning on April 23, are earlier because of the G8 and NATO summits being held during May in Chicago. Take note that the newly announced KBIS dates occur during the week (Monday through Thursday) rather than the show’s former weekend pattern.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association, which owns KBIS, says it has not lost any exhibiters due to the change nor does it expect it to impact the anticipated attendance of about 20,000 designers, builders, remodelers, retailers, and other industry pros. In addition, hotel blocks and prices will remain the same. Designer, author, and television host Candice Olson is confirmed as the keynote speaker.

Registration will open in January 2012 at www.kbis.com.
