USG just introduced gypsum board panels it claims are up to 30 percent lighter than its standard line. That sounds like a winner; less weight should equal greater productivity. I wonder if they're more expensive than the standard stuff. How much more would you pay?

CertainTeed hasn't been sitting still either. It recently announced a new board that it says actually removes volatile organic compounds from the air. Is this something you would spec? Would your clients have any interest in it? --B.D.S.
