Sustainable Building Event in March
|
The schedule of events at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association's (NESEA's) BuildingEnergy Conference looks pretty impressive. The conference, which will take place March 9-11 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, includes half-day workshops on green roofs, residential retrofits, and on-site energy production, as well as shorter sessions on a wide range of energy-focused green building topics.
One of those hour-and-a-half sessions on Thursday the 11th will feature a speaker I'm writing about for the next issue of Custom Home, Jamie Wolf. Jamie's segment is titled "Open Source Practice" and it looks like he'll be accompanied by a group of other accomplished green building professionals. Check out his website to get a sense of his company and his work.
And if you're looking for something to do in March and are craving more sustainable building knowledge, you might want to think about making a trip to Beantown.--m.d.
