We hear (and write) a lot about architecture with sculptural qualities. The Statue of Liberty, on the other hand, is a sculpture with architectural qualities. These archival photographs from the New York Public Library Digital Gallery give one a sense of what that meant for its designer and builders. No BIM for these guys! --b.d.s.
