The Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum is now accepting nominations for the 2011 National Design Awards, which celebrate excellence, innovation, and achievement in a range of design disciplines. All nominations must be received by Jan. 10, 2011.
Award categories are: Lifetime Achievement, Design Mind, Corporate and Institutional Achievement, Architecture Design, Communication Design, Fashion Design, Interaction Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Product Design.
Awards are given to recognize a body of realized work, not individual projects. Nominees must be American citizens or long-term residents of the United States, and corporations must be headquartered in the U.S. Once nominated, candidates will be contacted by the museum and must then register and submit their work for jury review.
Winners and finalists will be announced in spring or summer 2011, and awards will be bestowed in fall 2011. For more information and nomination instructions, visit www.cooperhewitt.org/nda/nominate/.
