The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation recently created and launched an annual research grant program that will award as many as three proposals up to $35,000 each. The inaugural Interior Design Research Grant Program will focus on the ways in which interior design affects human behavior.

Interior designers, design clients, scientists, educators, and interdisciplinary partnerships are encouraged to submit creative and innovative proposals for research or projects that will yield practical applications and reach beyond basic research, historic research, or reviews of literature to provide a greater depth and breadth of insight into interior design's impacts. The ASID Foundation would prefer projects that will last one to two years.

Proposals will be accepted through Nov. 15, 2010. Visit to download the research grant application.
